president and co-founder, james white
James is the President and Co-Founder of
Active Spectrum Corporation, in charge of all aspects of mechanical
design and development of sensors, tunable filters, oscillators,
packaging and control systems.
Dr. White received his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from MIT (2003).
Subsequently, he held postdoctoral positions at MIT and Caltech where
he developed the technology underlying Active Spectrum's tunable
filters. Simultaneously, he held an appointment at NIST in
Gaithersburg, MD where he developed the Nanogate
ultra-precision MEMS valve as a National Transfer Standard for low-flow
leaks.

cto and co-founder, chris white
Chris received his doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (2005). He currently serves as CTO of Active Spectrum Corporation, responsible for microwave design and electronics integration. Prior to founding Active Spectrum, Chris was a postdoctoral scholar in the Caltech RF & Microwave Group. He has eight years of experience in the design of filters, oscillators, and magnetic resonance instruments.

Colin received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California in Santa Barbara. He has several years of work experience in a number of small technical companies and has directly supported larger corporations such as Hewlett Packard and Intel. Colin has lived and worked in the Netherlands and Malaysia, and is currently learning to speak Japanese.
